ABOUT US
Started in August 2020, Dear Asian Youth Houston (DAYH) is a chapter of Dear Asian Youth based in the Greater Houston area. As a community based organization, we seek to educate Houstonian youth about Asian culture and issues facing our community, as well as empower them to become civically engaged individuals. We are also a proud youth partner of OCA-Greater Houston, our local chapter of OCA.
Our Story
We've come a long way since August 2020, when four high school students reunited as friends to start DAYH. In an effort to bring together Asian youth from across the city, we've held many virtual meetings and events, and board and chapter membership have only grown. Beyond increasing awareness of different Asian cultures and Asian American issues, we are also socially and civically engaged, and we hope to increase such engagement in coming years.
