New Year, New DAY(H)

Happy New Year, everyone! As we step foot into 2022, into what we like to call a new era for DAYH, we'd like to set some goals. By establishing some tangible items we hope to achieve, we believe we can do bigger and better things, just as we've always wanted for DAYH.

1. Set up an AAPI little library

This has been in the works for a couple months, now, and we would like to bring it to fruition this year. Our vision for this little library, and potentionally a few more, is to fill it with AAPI stories and literature by AAPI authors for all ages. We hope our community can benefit from these books and that these little libraries will remain self-sustaining for a long time.

2. Collaborate wih other advocacy groups

Though we can't reveal who we're planning on collaborating with right now, these collaborations will be sure to benefit our mission of engaging and empowering Asian Houstonians.

3. Raise funds to donate to AAPI organizations and/or support local businesses and creatives

4. Feature and recommend local businesses and creatives

As a local organization, we believe in supporting our community in any way we can. We want to make more tangible progress, and what better way than giving our financial support? We'll also be sure to give our support through the platform that we've developed over the past year.

5. Get featured by a local newspaper

Who says we can't dream big? We're hoping to make strides with our work as DAYH to be worthy of being featured in the local paper!

6. Start our podcast

This has been on our bucket list for a couple months, and we're hoping to release our first episode this year! Be on the lookout for updates and previews regarding our podcast!

Goal-setting is a great way to establish what you want to focus on in 2022, but don't forget that you, and we, are not just results. Behind DAYH is mutliple human beings learning and growing with you, our members and community. Don't forget to also set your intentions for the year, as we are always doing behind the scenes.
